Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light

To the sleeping beauty bride of Christ, who is called the redeemed of the Lord. 

Though the sleeping beauty bride lies lifeless in her inactive state, her heart beats lethargically while her mind is continually racing. In her barren state with her heart struggling, her mind remains asphyxiated by the intoxication of her cares for herself and the things of this world and age. All the while the eternal Spirit of God who sustains her life is beckoning to her to call on the name of the Lord in order that she will be saved from her decay. By the power of the Spirit that lives within her, a spark of response ignites the smoldering ashes of her heart as she chooses to prioritize her desire for her prince over all other cares. The Prince who has been waiting patiently in the secret place of her bedchamber, where she lies languishing, rushes to her and kisses her with the kiss of true love. Upon the touch of the lips of His mouth to hers He resuscitates her and she awakens out of her slumber. In a moment, in the twinkling of her eyes opening she gazes deep into the eyes of her Prince to see the magnificence of who He truly is. In that very moment all the cares of this world and herself are consumed by His desire for her. As she begins to arise the Prince of peace tells her that He loves her so much that He paid the highest price for her to prove to her the true value of her worth. He also lets her know that by His payment  He bought her out of her bondage of self-imprisonment which comes as a result of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life and the cares of this world. He continues speaking to her out of His heart of tender kindness and compassion for her.  Then her Prince speaks to her powerful words that let her know that He has united His mind and heart with her so she will never again live in bondage to the things that lead to the slumber of lifelessness, inactivity, self-consuming fear, anxiety and depression. 

Next He goes on to tell her that He has written her a love letter that she can read to know His heart of Love and passion for her. In reading the letter she grows deeper in love with Him because she is nourished by each word He speaks to her through His love letter every time she reads it. Each time she reads it is as if it is new to her and as if He is there with her reading it to her from a perspective that she needs to hear for that day. She finds that in reading it her heart grows increasingly excited to the extent that she reads His letter over and over. She hungers and thirst to spend more time reading with her Prince and as a result He becomes her one desire.  As she reads she ask Him questions about the details of what He has said in order to gain greater revelation of His good, perfect and pleasing will for her life. She finds that her relationship with her Prince grows deeper and deeper and she is strengthened by the quality time she spends with Him in conversation about what He has written to her.  

In addition He informs her that because of what He has accomplished on her behalf she is no longer powerless against every weapon that was once used to overcome her. He lets her know that through His victory over every enemy he has made her more than a conquer. He tells her that He has placed within her the power to heal the sick, destroy the works of darkness and raise the dead. He also gives to her the revelation that her tongue has become the most powerful muscle in her body because in it He has placed the power of life and death. He informs her that as she thinks on these things the power that He has placed within her will give her the ability to do them and not only that but she will do even grater things. 

As she hears the words that come out of His mouth it ignites the spirit of her heart to burn with Holy Fire and passion for the things of His heart. With this revelation, that He freely gives to her, her feet run swiftly as she goes into all the world unashamedly proclaiming the beauty, love and power of her Prince, to all she encounters. As she speaks the words of her Prince with passion and confidence to those that have not been introduced to His love, the word goes into their hearts just like a seed that awaits water to bring about new growth. It is her joy to water any seed that has been planted and she is able to do so out of the abundance of living water that flows out of her heart. Upon doing so, the hardened soil of their hearts begins to soften as they hear the message of her princes great acts of love, goodness and acceptance. Then the overflowing water saturates their souls and germinates the planted Seed in order that new life springs forth. From her denial of herself and passion for her Prince her life is increasingly fulfilled. Knowing that Her lover is well pleased with her not because of what she has done but because she awakened to the revelation of her Prince’s great love for her and the beauty of Who He is. Because of this she has chosen to love Him so much that she displays His love to others by telling them of her Prince’s great desire for them, everywhere she goes. At the core of her being it is well with her soul, as she lives in gratitude to her Prince, His Father and Spirit because they truly loved her first in order that she could and does give back to them and everyone else all the love that she has freely received. 

The invitation of love to the Church is to let The Prince of Peace kiss you with the kisses of His words. To live in intimacy with Him in the privacy of your heart each morning and evening, in order that you will arise and shine all day for your light has come to awaken you. Then from the natural fruit of intercourse with Him to unashamedly share the good news of the Prince Jesus with the world who is dying to hear of His amazing saving grace and goodness for them. To go into all the world lovingly with boldness and confidence and tell others of what He has accomplished on behalf of all humanity by and through His death for every wrong that has ever been committed, how He buried them in His tomb and left them there so we all can be free from them. How He rose from the dead and victoriously conquer sin and death so that each person can personally know Him and live in the good news of His love, peace, joy and acceptance now and forevermore. 

To those that have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying, know this. The degree that you are truly awake is measured by the results of your intimacy with God which outwardly expresses itself in passionately and lovingly sharing the simple Gospel of Jesus death for our sins, His burial and resurrection in order that they will come to know Jesus personally.
